Poem 68: Greek Vase. By Vijay Simhadri.
This was an Ancient Greek vase.
It was the finest that the collector has,
It was found near the Corinth Canal,
In those days beside the stream's channel,
The vase was used for water collection,
After hours of tiring perspiration
In the hot summer sun,
Amidst games that were won,
People sat around and were amazed
Some were in fact often dazed
And they began feel very dizzy,
Others drinking from the vase were
nice and easy.
