Poem 54: Dark Bridge

By  Vijay Simhadri

There was the shadow of a bridge,

That set upon the water a lovely image,

In the middle of the night,

It would give a fright,

However in the colorful skies,

There was great disguise,

For the bridge was very dark.

One could in fact embark

Under the stable lit arch of the bridge,

With no fear though holding courage.
