Poem 51: Excalibur By Vijay Simhadri

The sword Excalibur was set in the stone, It was destined whoever removed it Would rule the king's throne, The path towards it was indeed lit, It was Merlin the wizard, Who had set it fixed hard Upon the rocky stone. Many that tried to remove it unsuccessfully, Did in fact repent and groan, Though they tried hopefully The conquest unaided and alone.
