Poem 5 - The Waterfall. By Vijay Simhadri.
The cool torrent of water flows down below,
As the sun glistens above vivid yellow,
The water current relentlessly travels away,
To land upon the craggy rocks so gray,
An atmosphere filled with surrounding mist,
Follows as the water whirled and hissed.
Such a majestic view when observed by plane,
To see the waterfall buffet water down in vain,
Moving are the speckled trees,
That sway within the icy breeze.
A showery burst of intermittent rain,
Moistens up the skies and the grassy terrain,
A spectral rainbow now appears in the scene,
Around the nearby land so calm and serene.
