The door of the house creaked open,

There was an eerie message about to happen,

The place seemed quite haunting,

The conquest of going inside appeared daunting.

A candle flickered in the darkness,

To brighten up the sadness,

Light emanated into the room,

There to aid the travellers from doom.

The traveller stealthily made his way in,

To findD nothing but emptiness within,

The house had been derelict for years,

Its quietness left the traveller disappointed in tears.

'Alas', thought the traveller,

'I need not go much further'.

This haunted house indeed had no use,

For IT was not much OF a place as a recluse.
