Poem 25: Sahara Settlement.

By Vijay Simhadri.

The Sahara settlement in the desert,

Looked secluded though yet very covert,

Away from society and travelling rife,

Journeying was tough, and full of strife.

The red-purple skies covered clouds today,

Tribal people were here indeed to stay,

The desert in its hot, blazing sands,

Encouraged tribes to labour with their hands,

Hoping that clouds might bring some rain,

To this warm and weathered, sunny plain.
