Poem 12: The Grand Canyon. By Vijay Simhadri
The rocks looked so bare,
The observers seemed frightened to dare
To descend the canyon so steep.
The Grand Canyon was extremely deep.
The place looked like a desert.
The region appeared hurt
As it was made from a huge meteorite,
Which is what I figured from this height.
The Grand Canyon was so great,
How ironic it was to deserve such fate,
So early in time this apparently occurred,
This is indeed from what I heard.
The Large rocks of red, AND DRY, spikeD SANDstone,
Looked amazing as I gazed upon them alone.
