Poem 11: The Wizard's Crystal Ball. By Vijay Simhadri.
I looked into the wizard's crystal ball,
The future told me that I could have it all,
I knew the fortune-teller was bright,
For everything he said was right.
My life improved, expanded and changed,
I could now see that everything was beautifully arranged,
I found that my fortune had escalated,
There were no more people that I hated.
Flashes of light within the sphere,
Told me music that I wished to hear,
I was praising my luck,
To make the smooth, quick buck.
I lived now a lovely and glorified life,
Away from trouble and a lot of strife.
