In the solitude the night was dark, The moon was set to make its mark, There was not a soul in sight, The stars twinkled in the night. The moon revealed a glimmer of light, As it shone in the night glowing white. The fields of fallow, Lay beneath the moon below. An oak tree was nearby, The daytime birds had decided to fly, Away from the crops towards the sky, And yet it was in question to ask so why, Everything around was gone: Only the moonlight shone.
